Our process.
Consult.
Every project starts with a consultation. Whether it’s over coffee or on-site, Morgan takes the time to understand what each client envisions for their space. Bringing any initial references or sources of inspiration to this meeting is always welcome, as it can help to ground the creative direction. If the project is a good fit for MBDA, the discussion will then move into the technical details of the space and the process ahead.
Design.
Following the consultation and site visit, the project moves to the studio. Through a collaborative exchange of inspiration, ideas, and hand-drawn sketches, Morgan will continue to develop and refine the design. Informed by historical references and artistic intuition, this stage will result in a thoughtfully crafted plan for a site-specific composition.
Install.
The process of installation begins with Morgan on site, transferring the approved final sketch by hand. Using water-based paints and time-honored techniques, she gradually brings the piece to life, layering pigment with intention and care. As the mural unfolds, the design may naturally evolve in response to the space and creative flow. The result is a truly one of a kind work of art, seamlessly woven into your home.
